I have been reading a lot of magazines from the late 1920′s and early thirties to get a kind of grasp of the differences and similarities socially between the last economic collapse and this one.  There are many of each. But here is one reason that, no matter how bad things may get, it can never be quite as bad this time as it was last time.lysol-douche At least for women.

I gasped out loud, then did a quick search on Lysol. During the Spanish Flu pandemic Lysol was recommended to wash down sick rooms to prevent the spread of disease. So of course the next obvious use would be as a feminine hygiene product to prevent infections and eliminate odour in order to “preserve marital bliss.” Incredible!

Well, I guess it is the web of hideous stench in which the woman has entrapped the poor unsuspecting man. As if he didnt have enough trouble by being ensnared in her dangerous trap. Although I like to think it was Lysol’s unconscious way of warning her to stay away from this ungrateful guy and from their product.
